Master Parrying to Reflect Enemy Attacks

Timing Your Parry

Parrying is the core defensive skill in Blade Ballet Reflexive. Hold Sneak to raise your guard, then press your block action again within half a second of an incoming attack hitting you. Timing is critical—parry too early or late and the attack connects normally.

What Happens on a Successful Parry

When you parry correctly:

  • The incoming damage reflects back toward the attacker
  • A shockwave erupts around you, knocking back nearby enemies
  • Projectiles like arrows are deflected or dropped directly in front of you
  • Your guard counter begins charging for a potential counter-offensive

Practice Tips

Start against slow-attacking mobs like Zombies or Spiders to learn the timing window. Watch for the enemy's attack animation and listen for audio cues. Once comfortable, move to faster attackers like Skeletons. Remember that parrying also builds your guard counter—successful parries set up powerful counter-attacks, so don't just defend passively. Chain parries together in longer fights to maintain pressure while protecting yourself.
