How to Use Biome Spy to Find a Specific Biome Fast with /locate

Run the command as normal

Biome Spy does not add a new command. You keep using the vanilla /locate biome <biome_id> syntax. The mod only swaps out the slow search logic underneath, so anything you already know about /locate still applies. Type the command, press enter, and the coordinates should come back almost instantly instead of after a long pause.

Pick the right biome ID

Use the exact resource-location style ID, for example minecraft:warm_ocean or minecraft:mushroom_fields. If you are hunting a modded biome, use its namespace, such as one added by TerraBlender or AlexsCaves. Tab-completion usually lists valid IDs, so let it fill the name in rather than typing from memory.

What to expect

Because the search is heavily optimised, you will not see the game hitch or freeze while it scans. If a biome genuinely does not exist nearby, you still get the normal "could not find" message — that is a real result, not a failure of the mod. Run the command again from a different spot if you want a different region searched. Underground and cave biomes are handled the same way, so /locate biome works for those too without extra setup.
