How to Spawn in a Modded Biome

Confirm the Biome Is Registered

Modded biomes only appear in spawnbiomes.txt if the mod that adds them is installed and loaded. Launch the game once with both mods present so the biome gets registered, then close the game. Open spawnbiomes.txt and look for entries using the mod's namespace, such as modid:biome_name.

Enable the Modded Biome

Find the line for the biome you want and remove the leading !. Save the file. If the biome does not appear in the list at all, the mod adding it either is not installed, failed to load, or registers its biome in a way the spawn config does not capture.

Watch for Namespace Conflicts

Modded biome names always carry a namespace prefix before the colon. Do not rename or shorten these entries, or the mod will not match them to a real biome. Leave the identifier exactly as generated.

Test in a New World

Create a new world after saving. If you enabled only the modded biome, you should spawn inside it. If terrain generation for that biome is rare or depends on other mods, verify the biome actually generates by exploring. Combine a modded biome with a vanilla one if you want a fallback in case the modded terrain is hard to reach.
