How do I choose which biome I spawn in?
Open the spawnbiomes.txt config file the mod generates and remove the exclamation mark in front of the biome you want. Save the file, then create a new world and you'll spawn in that biome.
Where is the spawnbiomes.txt file located?
It's generated in your Minecraft config folder the first time the mod runs. If you can't find it, launch the game once with the mod installed so it can create the file.
Why am I still spawning in a random biome after editing the config?
The config only applies to newly created worlds, not existing ones. Also make sure you actually saved the file and removed the exclamation mark rather than adding one.
What happens if I select multiple biomes?
The spawn biome is chosen by probability among your selected biomes. Selecting two gives each an equal chance, and adding more splits the odds further.
How do I spawn in a modded biome?
Modded biomes appear in spawnbiomes.txt alongside vanilla ones once their mod is installed. Just remove the exclamation mark in front of the modded biome's name the same way you would for a vanilla biome.
Can I get a bonus chest at my chosen spawn?
Yes, the mod supports bonus chest generation near your spawn location. Enable the bonus chest option when creating the world and it will generate at your selected biome's spawn point.
Does this mod work with Village Spawn Point?
Yes, the two mods are compatible. You can combine them so your chosen biome spawn also places you near a village.
Why doesn't my selected biome show up in the config file?
The biome list only includes biomes from mods that are currently loaded. Make sure the mod adding that biome is installed and enabled before launching the game.
Does this mod affect performance or world generation?
No, it only influences where you spawn rather than how terrain generates. There's no ongoing performance impact once the world is created.
Can I change my spawn biome after I've already created a world?
No, the config applies at world creation time. To spawn in a different biome you'll need to edit the config and generate a new world.
