How to Get a Bonus Chest at Your Chosen Spawn

Understand the Bonus Chest Setting

The mod supports bonus chest generation near your spawn point. The bonus chest is the same feature offered in vanilla world creation, but here it appears at the location the mod selects for you rather than a random spot.

Enable the Bonus Chest When Creating the World

When you set up a new world, turn on the bonus chest option in the world creation screen, exactly as you would in vanilla. The mod does not replace this toggle; it works alongside it. With the option enabled and your biome selection saved in spawnbiomes.txt, the chest generates close to where you appear.

Match the Chest to Your Biome

Because the chest spawns at your chosen biome, you can deliberately pick a biome where the starting items are most useful. A forest or plains start pairs well with the basic tools and food a bonus chest typically provides, while a harsher biome makes the chest more valuable for survival.

If No Chest Appears

Check that the bonus chest option was actually enabled before generating the world, and confirm your biome selection was saved. Existing worlds cannot retroactively gain a bonus chest; you must start a new world.
