Identifying Your Weapon's Style

2. Perform a basic attack and observe the animation speed and stance

3. Greatswords will feel more balanced; ultra-heavy weapons will feel slower and more dramatic

Combat Strategy

Both styles reward positioning and timing over button-mashing. Attack, then back away to let the recovery animation complete before striking again. Use the long wind-up time to plan your next move or dodge incoming attacks. Ultra-heavy weapons are best against heavily armored foes or bosses where raw damage matters more than speed. Greatswords offer a middle ground—powerful but still responsive enough for multiple enemies.
