Understand How True Invisibility Differs from Visual Invisibility

The Problem It Solves

Before this mod, some invisibility effects were only visual—mobs could still see and attack you even though you appeared invisible on your screen. The Specter Bangle now applies true Invisibility, meaning the game's mob AI actually recognizes you as invisible.

What This Means

True Invisibility:

  • Mobs cannot detect you
  • Mobs will not target or chase you
  • Mobs won't attack you
  • Works with enchantments like Ambush

Visual-Only Invisibility:

  • You appear invisible to players
  • Mobs can still see and attack you
  • Enchantments may not trigger properly

Practical Impact

With the Specter Bangle's true invisibility, you can safely move through areas filled with hostile mobs. This is especially useful in caves, dark forests, and dangerous biomes where mobs spawn frequently. The bangle becomes a genuine stealth tool rather than just a cosmetic effect.

Compatibility

This fix ensures the bangle works correctly with other mods and enchantments that depend on actual invisibility status, making it a reliable choice for stealth-based gameplay.
