Troubleshoot Flat or Dull-Looking Textures
Verify Your Shader Supports PBR
If blocks look flat and shiny details aren't showing, your shader may not recognize normal and specular maps. Check the shader's documentation or settings menu for PBR support. Try switching to a different shader known to work with detailed texture packs. Some older or lightweight shaders don't process these maps.
Check Resource Pack Load Order
Ensure BetterRTX Remastered is active in your resource pack list. If another pack is loaded above it, that pack's textures may override the detailed maps. Move BetterRTX Remastered to the top of your resource pack list so its textures take priority.
Increase Map Intensity in Shader Settings
Open your shader's configuration menu and look for sliders controlling normal map strength, specular intensity, or surface detail. These are often set to conservative defaults. Gradually increase these values to make texture depth and reflections more pronounced. If you still see no change, your shader likely doesn't support these features.
