Get the Best Visual Results with Compatible Shaders
Choose a Shader That Supports PBR Maps
BetterRTX Remastered works best with shaders that recognize normal maps and specular maps. Look for shaders labeled as supporting PBR (Physically Based Rendering) or those designed to work with detailed surface textures. Popular community shaders that pair well with this pack will display the bump detail and reflections the resource pack provides.
Configure Your Shader Settings
Once you've installed a compatible shader, open its settings menu in-game. Look for options related to:
- Normal map strength or intensity
- Specular/reflection quality
- Surface detail or parallax mapping
Increasing these values will make the pack's 128x resolution maps more visible. Start with moderate settings and adjust upward until the depth and shine feel right for your system.
Test on Different Block Types
Walk around your world and observe how light interacts with various materials. Metal blocks and wet surfaces should show clear reflections. Stone and wood should display visible texture depth. If surfaces look flat, your shader may not be reading the maps—try a different shader or increase the map intensity in settings.
