Enable the Resource Pack in Your World

Prerequisites

Before the improved animal models appear in your world, you need OptiFine installed. This resource pack uses Custom Entity Models (CEM), which requires OptiFine to render the new 3D shapes and details.

Installation Steps

1. Load the resource pack: Open your world or create a new one, then pause the game.

2. Access settings: Go to Options → Resource Packs.

3. Add the pack: Click "Open Pack Folder" and place the Better Vanilla Animals resource pack file inside.

4. Activate it: Return to the Resource Packs menu. You should see the pack listed on the left (Available). Click it and move it to the right side (Selected).

5. Confirm changes: Click "Done" and allow the game to reload textures.

Verify It's Working

Spawn or find a farm animal like a cow or sheep. If the pack is active, you'll see the enhanced snout, ears, and other 3D details. If animals still look default, check that OptiFine is installed and enabled in your launcher.
