How to See More Than 80 Players on a Server with Better Tab Mod
The Default Limit and What Changes
Vanilla Minecraft caps the player list at a fixed maximum, which means on large servers you simply cannot see everyone. Better Tab Mod removes that cap, so the list can display an unlimited number of players. You do not need to enable anything — the expanded list is active as soon as the mod is installed.
Finding Players in a Huge List
With the cap gone, the challenge shifts from "can I see them" to "can I find them." Use the scrollable list to move through everyone. Because the mod also prevents names from overlapping on smaller screens, each entry stays readable even when the list is dense.
Keeping the List Manageable
- Increase your GUI scale if entries feel too small to read comfortably.
- Scroll slowly in very large lists so you do not skip past the name you want.
- Remember the list updates live as players join and leave, so positions can shift while you scroll.
Why This Matters on Big Servers
On minigame networks, survival servers with hundreds of concurrent players, or event lobbies, the vanilla limit hides most of the population. Removing it lets you see the true size of the server and locate specific players without relying on chat or commands.
