Enable Fuzzy Search in the Creative Inventory

Opening the Settings Menu

Press Alt + O while in-game to open the Better Search Mod settings screen. This menu lets you control which search boxes use the mod's improved features.

Turning On Creative Inventory Search

Locate the Creative Inventory toggle in the settings menu and ensure it is enabled. Once active, the search bar at the top of the Creative Inventory will now catch typos and partial matches.

Testing Your Setup

Open the Creative Inventory and try searching for a common block with a deliberate misspelling—for example, search for "drit" instead of "dirt". The fuzzy matching should still return the correct block. You can also search for partial names: typing "ston" will show stone, stone bricks, and other stone variants.

If results don't appear as expected, return to Alt + O and confirm the Creative Inventory option is toggled on. The search bar maintains vanilla's clean appearance while working behind the scenes to understand what you meant.
