Customize Which Search Boxes Use Better Search

Opening the Settings Menu

Press Alt + O in-game to access the Better Search Mod configuration screen. This menu displays toggles for every search box the mod can enhance.

Available Toggle Options

You'll see separate switches for:

• Creative Inventory search
• Recipe Book search
• Command prompt/chat search
• Any other mod-added search boxes detected in your world

Each toggle works independently, so you can enable fuzzy search only where you want it.

Saving Your Preferences

Changes apply immediately when you toggle options on or off. Close the settings menu and your preferences are saved. If you later install new mods that add search functionality, return to Alt + O to see new toggles appear.

This flexibility lets you keep the vanilla experience in some menus while enjoying improved search in others, maintaining the clean look of the original game throughout.
