10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the HUD customization menu?
Press the HUD editor keybind (default is configurable in your keybinds settings) to enter edit mode, where you can drag, resize, and toggle individual interface elements on and off.
Can I hide specific HUD elements I don't want to see?
Yes, in the HUD editor mode you can click on any interface element to toggle its visibility, or access the mod's configuration to disable elements you never use.
How does the Quick-Use action bar work?
Bind items to specific keys in the mod settings, then press those keys during gameplay to instantly use the assigned item from your hotbar without switching away from your current tool or weapon.
Does the minimap show mobs and other players?
The minimap displays terrain and your surroundings; check your mod configuration to see which entity types (mobs, players, etc.) are shown as dots or markers on the map.
Why isn't the minimap working underground?
The minimap should work both above and below ground by default; if it's not showing, verify the minimap element is enabled in your HUD editor and check that cave/underground rendering isn't disabled in the mod settings.
Can I move HUD elements around while in-game?
Yes, press your HUD editor keybind to enter edit mode, then click and drag any interface element to reposition it anywhere on your screen.
Does this mod work in multiplayer servers?
Better PvP Mod is client-side only, so it works on any server; however, some features like the Quick-Use action bar are purely visual/convenience tools and don't give unfair advantages.
How do I see my exact armor durability?
Enable the armor status interface in your HUD editor—it displays the durability of each equipped piece so you know when to repair or replace gear.
Can I customize the colors and style of the HUD elements?
Yes, most HUD elements have color and transparency options in the mod's configuration file; you can also resize and reposition them in edit mode to match your preferred aesthetic.
Does the mod affect performance or FPS?
Better PvP Mod is lightweight and client-side, so impact is minimal; if you experience lag, try disabling the minimap or reducing the number of active HUD elements.
