Use the Visual Locator to Track Teammates

Enabling the Locator Display

The visual locator is typically enabled by default once you join or create a party. Check your party settings to confirm it's active. You should see indicators on your screen showing teammate positions.

Understanding Locator Indicators

Each party member is assigned a unique color. The locator displays teammates using:

  • Colored dots: Minimap-style markers showing direction and distance
  • Outlines: Glowing borders around players visible through walls and blocks
  • Player heads: Small avatar icons indicating teammate locations

The specific display style may depend on your mod configuration.

Finding Lost Teammates

When exploring caves or forests:

1. Open your party menu or check the locator display

2. Identify your teammate's color indicator

3. Follow the direction shown by the marker

4. The indicator grows larger as you get closer

Adjusting Locator Range

The locator works best when teammates are within a certain distance. If a teammate is too far away, their indicator may disappear or become faint. Stay reasonably close to maintain visual contact and ensure XP sharing works effectively.
