Better Nautilus Armor Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need any other mods for this resource pack to work?
Yes, you need Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features installed for the custom nautilus armor models to display correctly. Without these mods, the pack won't apply its 3D shell designs to your armor.
Why does my nautilus armor still look flat and vanilla?
Check that Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features are both enabled and loaded before this resource pack. If they're installed but the models still don't appear, try reloading your resource packs or restarting your world.
Does this pack work with all armor materials?
The pack includes custom models for iron, copper, gold, diamond, and netherite nautilus armor. Other materials will display with their vanilla appearance.
Can I use this resource pack with other armor packs at the same time?
You can load multiple packs together, but if another pack also modifies nautilus armor, whichever pack is higher in your resource pack list will take priority. Reorder your packs in the resource pack menu to choose which designs you see.
Will this pack affect my performance or FPS?
The custom models add minimal performance impact since they're just visual replacements using the existing Entity Model Features system. Most players won't notice a difference, but older systems may see slight changes depending on other mods running.
Do the armor colors change, or just the shape?
The pack keeps the familiar colors of each material—iron stays silver, diamond stays blue, netherite stays dark—but replaces the flat shell texture with detailed 3D spiral designs.
How do I know if the custom models are actually loading?
Equip a piece of nautilus armor and look at it in your inventory or on your character. If you see a detailed spiral shell with depth instead of a flat texture, the models are loading correctly.
Does this work in multiplayer servers?
Yes, as a resource pack it only affects your client-side visuals. Other players on the server will see the default nautilus armor unless they also install the pack.
What if I want to see vanilla nautilus armor again?
Disable or remove this resource pack from your resource pack list, and your nautilus armor will return to the standard flat appearance.
Can I use this pack with shader mods like Sodium or Iris?
Yes, the pack works alongside shader mods since it only changes armor models and textures, not rendering systems. Make sure Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features are compatible with your shader setup.
