How to Use the Jump Bar Instead of the Experience Bar While Riding

While you are mounted, the mod swaps your experience bar for a jump bar, but only during the moment you are actually charging a jump. This guide explains how to use it so you time your jumps correctly.

Charging a jump

Hold the jump key while riding. As you hold it, the jump bar fills to show how much charge you have built up. The fuller the bar, the higher your mount will leap when you release the key. This is the same charge mechanic horses and similar mounts use, but now you can see the charge level on the HUD instead of guessing.

Timing your release

Release the jump key when the bar reaches the height you need. If you release too early, the mount will barely hop and may collide with the obstacle. Practice on flat ground first so you learn how the bar's fill rate corresponds to jump height for your particular mount, since different mounts charge at different speeds. When you are not charging a jump, the bar disappears and your normal experience bar returns.
