Lily pad not working? Fixing the 'block won't place' problem

If clicking a lily pad with a block does nothing, check these points in order.

Checklist

1. Is there water directly below the pad? The mod only converts a lily pad when the block beneath it is a water block. Pads over other blocks, or over a gap, won't convert.

2. Are you holding a placeable item? The pad responds to items that can be placed. Tools, food and similar items won't trigger the swap.

3. Are you right-clicking the lily pad itself? Aim at the pad, not at the water beside it or the bank.

4. Is the mod actually loaded? In vanilla, a lily pad has no special reaction to being clicked with a block. If the lily pad behaves like vanilla, check your mod list in the game's mods menu.

Still stuck?

• Try a different lily pad on a deeper, plain water spot to rule out unusual terrain.
• Test with an ordinary full block first. If that works, the earlier item may not be placeable in that spot for other reasons, such as a normal vanilla placement restriction.
• If another mod changes lily pads or water, test with only this mod installed to see whether they conflict.
