The Better Farm Animals Resource Pack assigns different textures to individual animals based on their data. Each animal type—cows, chickens, sheep, pigs, and rabbits—has multiple texture varieties built into the pack.

Spotting Variants in Your World

When you explore or create a new farm, animals will spawn with different appearances automatically. Cows might have different coat patterns, chickens will display varied plumage, and sheep show different wool colors and markings. Simply look around your farm or travel to new chunks to encounter different variants.

If you want to see all variants quickly, consider:

• Breeding animals to generate new individuals (variants are assigned on spawn)
• Exploring multiple biomes, as different areas may naturally spawn different-looking animals
• Using creative mode to spawn in animals and observe their textures up close

Appreciating the Diversity

Each variant is designed to look more realistic than vanilla Minecraft animals. Take time to examine individual animals—notice the detail in their custom models and how the textures make your farm feel more alive and varied. This visual diversity is the core purpose of the pack.
