Reading Tool Damage States at a Glance
Understanding Visual Wear Stages
Instead of checking the durability bar, this pack lets you assess tool condition by appearance alone. As your tools take damage, they progress through visible stages—from pristine to heavily worn.
Swords develop scratches and dents across their blade and handle. Early damage shows light surface marks; heavy use creates deep gouges and discoloration. Wooden tools lose paint coverage and show exposed wood grain and chips. Axes and pickaxes display progressive wear on their heads.
Checking Durability Without the Bar
1. Hold your tool in your main hand
2. Look at the item model in your hand or in your inventory
3. Compare the visual condition to previous uses—more scratches and wear means lower durability
4. When the tool appears heavily damaged and weathered, it's close to breaking
This visual system is especially useful during combat or mining when you're focused on the world rather than UI elements. You'll develop an intuition for when a tool needs repair or replacement just by glancing at it. The pack makes tool maintenance part of your situational awareness rather than a stat you must actively monitor.
