Navigate Long Commands Without Losing Your Place

Using Scrolling Instead of Arrow Keys

When editing lengthy commands, the multi-line display lets you see more context at once, but you can still navigate efficiently using scroll controls.

Horizontal scrolling moves left and right across the command text when a single line extends beyond the visible area. Use your mouse wheel or arrow keys to move through horizontally-wrapped sections.

Vertical scrolling moves up and down through the multi-line command display. This is especially useful for commands with deeply nested NBT data that span many lines.

Finding Your Position Quickly

Instead of holding arrow keys and overshooting, click directly where you need to edit. The improved cursor placement means you can jump to any part of the command instantly. For precise edits within NBT structures, the indentation guides help you identify which nesting level you're working in, so you can orient yourself faster.

If you need to select a large block of text, use click-and-drag selection to highlight exactly what you want to modify or delete, rather than navigating character-by-character.
