How to Configure Better Clouds Per World or Server

Better Clouds is client-side, so its settings follow you everywhere rather than being stored in a world. That is convenient, but it means a look you love in singleplayer may feel wrong on a server with a different build height or biome spread.

Understand what is global

Because the mod only changes rendering on your client, no server permission or server-side install is needed, and your settings apply to every world and server you join. There is no per-world cloud profile in the mod itself, so plan around one global configuration.

Adapt the look to different worlds

For a survival world with low builds, a lower cloud deck feels closer and more dramatic; for creative flying or skyblock, raise the deck so it does not crowd your builds. If you switch often between two very different looks, keep two config files and swap them, or note the slider values for each so you can restore them quickly.

Avoid surprises on servers

Some servers restrict client mods, so confirm the rules before joining with any rendering mod. Also remember that other players will not see your clouds; only you will. If a server enforces a resource pack or shader, check that it does not override cloud rendering, and disable one of the two if the sky looks wrong.

Re-check your settings after major modpack updates, since defaults can reset.
