Beta Slab Output Changes

Beta Recipes increases slab yields significantly compared to modern Minecraft, but with an important twist: not all slabs are created equal.

Crafting Slabs

1. Standard slabs (stone, dirt, wood variants): Craft 3 blocks in a row on a crafting table to receive 3 slabs instead of the modern 6

2. Smooth stone slabs: These are made from regular stone blocks, not smooth stone

3. Oak slabs: The recipe outputs petrified oak slabs instead of regular oak slabs—note this different variant

Strategy

Because slab output is reduced, you'll need to gather more raw materials for large building projects. Plan your quarrying or tree-cutting accordingly. Petrified oak slabs have a different appearance than standard oak slabs, so consider this when designing builds. If you need both variants, you'll have to source them separately.
