How to Create Your First Island and Get Around with BentoBox Commands

BentoBox itself is a framework. The thing you actually play is a game mode that runs on it, such as BSkyBlock or AcidIsland. Each game mode has its own world and its own command label. In BSkyBlock the player command is /island, with /is as a short alias. Other game modes use their own label, but the subcommands are very similar.

Create and use your island

1. Type /island create. If the server offers several blueprint bundles, a menu appears so you can pick a starting island.

2. Your protected area is yours alone.

3. Type /island sethome to save a spot to return to. Some servers allow more than one home.

4. Use /island go or /island home from anywhere to teleport back.

Other useful commands

  • /island on its own opens the main menu, or teleports you home, depending on server settings.
  • /island info shows details about the island you are standing on.
  • /island settings opens the protection panel (see the team and protection guide).
  • /island name sets a display name for your island.
  • /island reset wipes your island and gives you a fresh one. Resets are often limited by the server, so think before you use it.
  • /island help lists every command you have permission to use.

If a command says you lack permission, the server admin has restricted it. Ask them, because BentoBox permissions are set per game mode.
