Do I need a resource pack for Beautiful Potions to work?
No. Beautiful Potions works completely on its own without requiring any separate resource pack downloads or installation. The mod handles all the visual changes internally.
How do I tell what a potion does if I don't know the bottle designs yet?
Hover your cursor over any potion bottle in your inventory to see its name and effect tooltip, just like normal Minecraft items. Once you get familiar with the designs, you'll recognize them at a glance.
Will other players see my beautiful potions on a multiplayer server?
Yes. Beautiful Potions changes potion appearances for everyone on the server, so other players will see your potions with their new designs without needing the mod themselves.
Does this mod work with potions from magic mods like Ars Nouveau or Apotheosis?
Yes. Beautiful Potions supports over 31 popular magic mods, including Ars Nouveau, Apotheosis, and Alex's Mobs. Each modded potion gets its own unique bottle design based on its effect.
Can I organize my potion storage by looking at bottle colors and shapes?
Yes. Since each potion effect now has a distinct bottle design and color, you can easily sort and identify potions in chests or storage systems just by their appearance.
What if a potion from my favorite mod isn't getting a custom design?
Check the mod's supported additions list to see if it's included. If it's not listed, the potion will still appear as a standard bottle, but you can report it to see if support can be added in a future update.
Do the potion effects themselves change, or just how they look?
Only the appearance changes. All potion effects, durations, and potency work exactly the same as vanilla—this mod is purely visual.
Will Beautiful Potions cause lag or performance issues?
Beautiful Potions is designed to be lightweight and shouldn't cause noticeable performance problems. The visual changes are applied without adding extra processing overhead.
Can I use this mod with other visual mods that change item textures?
Beautiful Potions should work alongside most texture and visual mods, but conflicts can occur if multiple mods try to change potion appearances. Test your mod combination to be sure.
Do splash and lingering potions get custom designs too?
