How to Switch the Timestamp to AM/PM (12-Hour) Format
The mod's timestamp defaults to 24-hour time. If your players expect AM/PM, you change the timestamp format pattern rather than the chat format itself.
Locating the timestamp format option
Stop the server and open the mod's config. Alongside chatMessageFormat there is a separate option controlling how the time itself is rendered. This is where the 24-hour pattern lives. Replace it with a 12-hour pattern that includes an AM/PM marker. The exact pattern syntax follows standard Java-style date/time formatting, so the letters you use determine whether hours, minutes, and the AM/PM indicator appear.
Checking the output
Restart the server and send a message. Confirm the time shows with an AM or PM suffix and that the hour is in the 1–12 range rather than 0–23. If the suffix is missing, your pattern is missing the AM/PM field; if the hour still looks like 24-hour, you are still using the 24-hour hour field.
Keeping it consistent
Once you are happy, note the pattern somewhere. If you later edit chatMessageFormat, leave the timestamp format option untouched so you do not accidentally revert to 24-hour time.
