How to Change the Chat Message Format in Beautified Chat Server
The whole point of this mod is reshaping how chat looks, and the chatMessageFormat config option is where that happens. You edit it on the server side only — no client changes are needed for connected players.
Finding and editing the config
Stop the server first so your edits are not overwritten on shutdown. Open the mod's config file (usually in the config folder of your server directory) and locate chatMessageFormat. The default value produces something like Timestamp | Username: Message. You can reorder, remove, or add literal text around the placeholders. If you only want Username: Message, delete the timestamp placeholder and the separator around it.
Testing your format
Restart the server and join with a second account or ask a player to type something. Check that placeholders resolve correctly and that no stray separators are left behind. If the output looks wrong, stop the server again and adjust — the format is read at startup, so live edits to the file will not apply until a restart. Keep a copy of your working format string before experimenting, since a malformed one can make chat hard to read.
