How to Change the Timestamp Format (12-Hour, Seconds, and More)
Understand timestampFormat
The timestampFormat option decides how the %timestamp% variable appears in chat. It uses standard time pattern letters, so you can switch between 24-hour and 12-hour clocks and add or remove seconds.
Common patterns to try
HH:mm— 24-hour clock, hours and minutes (for example, 21:00).HH:mm:ss— 24-hour clock with seconds added (21:00:05).hh:mm a— 12-hour clock with an AM/PM marker (9:00 PM).
The key difference is uppercase HH versus lowercase hh: uppercase gives a 24-hour value, lowercase gives a 12-hour value. Adding :ss appends seconds, and adding a after the time appends the AM/PM marker. You can combine these however you like, and you can insert literal characters such as brackets or dashes between the letters.
Apply and verify
Edit timestampFormat in the config file, save it, and reload or restart the game. Watch the next few chat messages to confirm the clock reads the way you expect. If the time looks identical to before, double-check that %timestamp% is still present in chatMessageFormat — removing that variable hides the time no matter what timestampFormat says.
