Start a new world to play BetterEnd or BetterNether with BCLib

BCLib supplies the shared systems, and the BetterX mods add the dimension content. Here is how to set up a world so you can see it.

Before you create the world

1. Confirm BCLib and your BetterX mods all appear under Mods on the title screen.

2. Make a backup of any existing world you plan to bring along. Adding or removing world-generation mods can change how new chunks generate.

Create and explore

1. Choose Singleplayer, then Create New World.

2. Pick your usual game mode and settings, then create the world.

3. Travel to the dimension you want. You reach the Nether and the End by normal vanilla means, such as a Nether portal or an End portal.

4. Explore. New biomes from the BetterX mods appear in chunks you have not visited before.

Tips

• Areas you generated before installing the mods stay as they were. Only newly generated chunks get the new terrain.
• If you play on a server, the server needs the same mods, so see the server setup guide.
• Keep the mod set the same for the life of a world. Removing a BetterX mod later can leave missing blocks or odd terrain edges.
