Understanding Config Options

The Bareback Horse Riding Mod is fully configurable. All effects—Slowness, damage, and leather pants protection—can be toggled on or off independently. Open your mod config file to customize these settings.

Common Configurations

For casual play: Disable shouldDamageDuringRidingWithoutSaddle and keep shouldReceiveSlownessDuringRidingWithoutSaddle enabled for a minor penalty.

For survival challenge: Enable both Slowness and damage, and require leather pants for comfortable riding.

For creative freedom: Disable all effects to ride bareback with no penalties.

Fine-Tuning Mechanics

Adjust ticksBetweenDamage to make damage more or less frequent, and halfHeartDamageAmount to control severity. You can also toggle leatherPantsLoseDurabilityOnNegation to decide whether leather pants are consumable or permanent.
