Use Fishing Rods as Grappling Hooks
Equip and Aim
Place a fishing rod in your offhand. With your Omni-enchanted crossbow, load and fire the rod toward a target—either a light mob or a heavy block/structure.
How the Hook Works
When the fishing rod projectile hits its target, the physics change based on what you hit:
- Light mobs get pulled toward you
- Heavy objects or blocks pull *you* toward them instead
This creates a functional grappling hook mechanic for mobility and combat.
Tactical Uses
- Swing across gaps or climb cliffs by firing at distant blocks
- Yank enemies closer for melee combat or to interrupt their attacks
- Escape danger by pulling yourself away from threats
- Combine with fall-damage negation (honey bottles) for safer traversal
The fishing rod becomes a mobility tool rather than just a fishing device, opening up new movement options across your world.
