Equip Armor Onto Players and Mobs by Throwing It

Prepare Your Armor

Place a piece of armor—helmet, chestplate, leggings, or boots—in your offhand. Load it into your Omni crossbow and aim at a player or mob you want to equip.

Fire and Equip

Right-click to launch the armor piece as a projectile. When it hits the target, the armor automatically equips onto that entity if they have an empty slot for that piece. If the slot is occupied, the old armor drops and the new piece takes its place.

Practical Uses

  • Remotely outfit allies or summons with protective gear during combat
  • Equip mobs with armor for stronger minions or farm defenders
  • Redistribute gear across your team without stopping to manage inventories
  • Enchanted armor pieces transfer their effects when equipped this way

Limitations

Armor must match the entity type—you can't put full plate on a chicken, but you can equip mobs that naturally wear armor. This is most effective with players, armor stands, and larger mobs.
