Axolotl Client Customizable HUD & Client QoL Features Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the Axolotl Client settings menu?
Press the config key in game, which is Right Shift by default. If nothing opens, check the Controls screen under the Axolotl Client category to see or change the key. From the menu you can switch each module on or off and adjust its options.
How do I add CPS and FPS to my screen and move them?
Open the config menu, go to the HUD modules, and enable the CPS and FPS modules. Then open the HUD editor and drag each element where you want it. Changes save automatically.
My HUD element disappeared. How do I get it back?
The module is most likely toggled off, or it was dragged off to a screen edge. Open the config menu and make sure it is enabled. Then open the HUD editor and move it back into view.
How do I lower fire and shield so they don't block my view?
Open the config menu and look for the options for low fire and low shield. Turn them on and adjust the height if the module offers a slider. They only change how the overlay is drawn on your screen, not how the game works.
How do I set up zoom and freelook keybinds?
Zoom and freelook each have their own keybind in the Controls screen under the Axolotl Client category. Rebind them there to keys that do not clash with your other controls. Make sure the zoom and freelook modules are also enabled in the mod config.
Why does my zoom or freelook key do nothing?
The module may be disabled in the config menu, or the key may conflict with another bind. Check that the module is on, then look for conflicts in Controls and rebind one of the keys.
How do I see when my hits land?
Enable the hit color option and choose the tint you want enemies to flash when you hit them. You can also turn on custom block outlines in the config to make the block you are targeting easier to see.
Can I use fullbright and freelook on multiplayer servers?
Some servers restrict visual and movement helpers like fullbright or freelook, so read the server rules before using them. If you are unsure, turn those modules off on that server.
Will Axolotl Client hurt my FPS, and how can I reduce the impact?
Each enabled module costs a little, so the simplest fix is to turn off the HUD elements and effects you do not use. Motion blur is the first thing to disable if you want more frames.
Does it work with other mods or shaders, and what if something looks wrong?
It can be used alongside other client-side mods, but two mods that change the same thing can conflict. Examples are two zoom features, or motion blur together with shaders. If something looks wrong, turn off the overlapping feature in one of the mods and see if it clears up.
