How to Break Skulls and Mob Heads Faster With an Axe

With this mod installed, skulls and heads count as axe-mineable blocks, so an axe is now the quickest way to remove them.

Steps

1. Put an axe in your hotbar. Any axe works, and a better material mines faster.

2. Select the axe and look at the skull or head you want to remove.

3. Hold the attack/mine button until it breaks.

4. Pick up the dropped item.

What to expect

• Skulls break noticeably faster with an axe than with your bare hand or a tool that has no bonus against them.
• The mod only changes which tool is effective. It does not change what a skull drops, so you still get the skull or head back as an item.
• Your tool is not required to get the drop. Breaking a skull by hand still works, just more slowly.

Tip: If you are removing many skulls, such as a mob-head display wall, keep the axe selected the whole time. Switching to a pickaxe or shovel gives you no speed bonus on skulls.
