Awakened Gunslinger Model FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I equip the Doomblaster and get the Gunslinger class?
After installation, the Doomblaster item will be available through your server's item distribution system (commands, creative menu, or loot tables depending on your setup). Simply equip it in your main hand to activate the Awakened Gunslinger class and bind all seven skills to your character.
What are the seven core skills and how do I use them?
The Doomblaster has seven skills: Bullet (basic attack), Muzzle Flash, Shockwave, Hellflare Burst, Deathmark, Overheat Laser, and Missile Strike. Each skill is bound to specific keybinds or right-click actions—check your server's keybind configuration or in-game help menu to see which button triggers each ability.
Why aren't the Doomblaster animations or sound effects showing up?
Make sure you've merged the resource pack files into your server's active resource pack and that all clients have accepted it. Then reload your MythicMobs, MMOCore, and MythicLib plugins; if effects still don't appear, verify that ItemsAdder/Oraxen/Nexo configs were placed in the correct plugin folders.
Can I change how the skills work or their damage values?
Yes—the mod includes ready-made MythicLib custom skill configs that you can edit directly. Open the skill configuration files in your plugin folder and adjust cooldowns, damage, mana costs, or other mechanics, then reload the plugins to apply changes.
Does the Doomblaster work with ItemsAdder, Oraxen, Nexo, and MythicRPG at the same time?
No—you choose one asset framework for your server setup. The mod includes separate config folders for ItemsAdder, Oraxen-Nexo, and MythicRPG; install only the files for your chosen framework to avoid conflicts.
What's the difference between Bullet Charge/Release and Hellflare Burst Charge/Release?
Both are charge-based skills with different effects: Bullet Charge builds up a piercing shot with shockwave impact, while Hellflare Burst charges into an explosive burst attack. Check the skill VFX list to see the specific visual and damage differences between them.
Do I need MythicMobs and MMOCore, or can I use just one?
The Doomblaster requires both MythicMobs (for skill logic) and MMOCore (for class data) to function properly. Your server must have both plugins installed and running for the Gunslinger class and all seven skills to work.
How do the Overheat Buff and Laser Charge work together?
Overheat is a buff mechanic that builds as you use skills, and Laser Charge is the skill that consumes or triggers that buff state. Consult your MythicLib configs to see the exact relationship and thresholds between Overheat stacks and Laser Charge activation.
Are there performance issues if I use the Doomblaster on a large server?
The mod is optimized for servers, but Missile Strike and Explosion effects can be heavy if many players use them simultaneously. If you experience lag, try reducing particle counts or cooldowns in the MythicLib config files.
Can I restrict the Doomblaster to certain players or worlds?
Yes—use your permission plugin (LuckPerms, PermissionsEx, etc.) to control who can equip the Doomblaster, or use MythicMobs conditions in the skill configs to disable it in specific worlds or regions.
