Enhance Your Night Gameplay with Shader Lighting

Leverage Moonlight and Ambient Lighting

AVALux Reimagined improves night-time visibility through enhanced moon phases and ambient sky lighting. Unlike vanilla Minecraft, the shader provides softer, more natural nighttime illumination without making the world unrealistically bright. This means you can navigate and build at night without torches while maintaining atmosphere.

Use Colored Lights as Beacons

At night, colored light sources become visual landmarks. Place soul lanterns or other cool-toned lights near your base entrance, or use warm lights to mark pathways. The colored glow is visible from much farther away than vanilla lighting and creates a welcoming aesthetic.

Combine Natural and Artificial Lighting

Position your build to take advantage of moonlight during clear nights. Place colored lights in shadowed areas to add depth. The shader's soft shadows mean moonlit areas won't look flat or washed out.

Adjust Ambient Lighting if Needed

If nights feel too dark or too bright, check shader settings for Ambient Light Strength or Night Brightness. Small adjustments here affect overall visibility without requiring you to place additional light sources.
