Adjust Shader Settings for Your Computer's Performance
Access the Shader Menu
Press the shader settings key (default: right-click on the shader name in your video settings, or use the in-game shader options menu) to open the configuration panel. AVALux Reimagined provides multiple performance profiles designed for different hardware tiers.
Select Your Performance Profile
Locate the Performance Profile or Quality Preset option. Choose from:
- Low: Reduces shadow detail and disables some lighting effects; best for older or budget systems
- Medium: Balanced visuals and performance; recommended for most players
- High: Full shadow detail, enhanced colored lighting, and advanced effects; requires stronger GPUs
Fine-Tune Individual Settings
Once you've selected a base profile, you can adjust specific options:
- Shadow Distance: Lower values reduce lag but make shadows disappear farther away
- Colored Lighting Intensity: Dial down if you experience frame drops near many light sources
- Sky Effects: Toggle advanced atmospheric rendering if needed
Test and Confirm
Close the settings menu and observe your frame rate in a familiar area. If performance improves, you've found a good balance. If you want more visual detail, increase settings incrementally and retest.
