How to Force or Trigger a Modpack Update on a Client
Sometimes a sync doesn't run when you expect it to, or you want to pull the latest pack without waiting. Here's how to get AutoModpack to update your client.
Triggering an Update by Reconnecting
1. Fully close Minecraft (not just disconnect to the main menu).
2. Reopen the launcher and start the game.
3. Join the AutoModpack server again. The mod re-checks your files against the server manifest on connect and downloads anything that changed.
4. Accept the sync prompt and let it finish.
When You Declined Previously
If you clicked to skip or cancel a sync, AutoModpack remembers that choice for the session. Reconnecting — or restarting the game and rejoining — resets the prompt so you can accept it.
Clearing a Stuck or Corrupted Sync
If downloads fail or files seem half-applied:
- Delete the partially downloaded files AutoModpack left behind in its working/temp location.
- Restart the game and reconnect so it re-fetches cleanly.
- If problems persist, remove the affected mod files from your mods folder and let the sync re-download them.
Notes
AutoModpack only pulls what differs from the server's manifest, so re-triggering an update is fast when little has changed. Always make sure you trust the server before accepting files.
