How to Stop the Automatic Door Mod From Opening Iron Doors
Why You Might Want This
By default the mod opens iron doors automatically, just like wooden ones. That is convenient in a village or base, but it defeats the purpose of iron doors as a security barrier. If you rely on iron doors to keep mobs or other players out, you want them to stay manual.
Turning It Off in the Config
1. Close Minecraft so the config file is not locked.
2. Open your game directory and go into the config folder.
3. Open the Automatic Door Mod config file with a text editor.
4. Find the option named shouldOpenIronDoors.
5. Change its value from true to false.
6. Save the file and relaunch the game.
Once disabled, only wooden doors (and any other non-iron door types the mod supports) will open automatically. Iron doors will behave like vanilla: you must right-click them or power them with redstone.
If you later change your mind, simply flip the value back to true. This setting is independent of the open-time setting, so you can have fast-closing wooden doors while keeping iron doors fully manual.
