How to Configure Recast and Reel-In Delays in the AutoFish GUI

Opening the Configuration GUI

AutoFish exposes a settings screen where you control how quickly it reacts. Open it from the mod's keybind or menu entry, then locate the delay options. There are two separate timings to care about: how long the mod waits before reeling in after a bite, and how long it waits before recasting the rod after a successful catch. Adjusting these lets you trade speed for a more human-like rhythm.

Choosing Sensible Values

A very short reel-in delay catches fish fast but looks mechanical. A slightly longer delay mimics a real player reacting to the bobber dip. The recast delay controls the pause between landing a catch and throwing the line back out. If you are fishing on a server with other players around, longer delays are safer. If you are alone in a singleplayer world, shorter delays simply mean more catches per hour.

Applying and Testing

Save the settings, cast your rod, and toggle the mod on. Watch a few full cycles: bite, reel, recast. If the timing feels off, reopen the GUI and nudge the values. Changes usually apply immediately without needing to restart the game, but re-toggling the mod guarantees the new values are picked up.
