How to AFK Fish Safely with AutoFish Without Getting Kicked or Banned
Understand What the Mod Actually Does
AutoFish is client-side. It automates the reel-in and recast actions that you would otherwise perform by hand. The server still sees a player fishing, but it sees those actions happening automatically and indefinitely. That is the core risk: many servers have rules against automation, and some anti-cheat or AFK-detection systems flag repetitive, perfectly-timed input.
Reducing Your Footprint
Use the delay settings to introduce variation rather than instant, robotic reactions. Longer reel-in and recast delays look more like a distracted human. Avoid leaving it running for many hours straight in one spot. If you must AFK, do it somewhere out of the way rather than in a busy public fishing area where other players will notice and report you.
Check the Rules First
Before running AutoFish on any server, read that server's rules on automation and AFK fishing. Many explicitly forbid it, and the consequences range from a kick to a permanent ban. On your own singleplayer world or a private server where you control the rules, there is no such concern. Treat public servers as hostile to automation and act accordingly.
