How to Tell Whether the Mod Is Actually Working

Set up a clean test

Because this mod only changes behavior across a respawn, it is easy to misread a normal reset as a bug. Run a controlled test so you know for sure.

Steps

1. Create a fresh test world in Creative or with cheats enabled so you can die on demand.

2. Turn on toggle sprint by pressing the sprint key once. Do not hold it.

3. Walk a few blocks to confirm you are sprinting without holding the key.

4. Use a kill command or jump into lava to die.

5. Respawn and immediately try to walk. If you move at sprint speed without pressing the key, the mod is working.

6. Repeat the same test with toggle sneak.

Interpreting results

If sprint persists but sneak does not, or vice versa, only one toggle was actually enabled before death. If neither persists, confirm the mod is loaded for the correct game version and that no other mod is overriding sprint or sneak handling. Mods that change movement, stamina, or controls can conflict. Test with only this mod enabled to isolate the cause, then re-add others one at a time.
