How do I turn on auto sprint with this mod?

There's nothing to enable — the mod works passively. Just turn on Toggle Sprint in your vanilla Controls settings and it will now stay on across respawns.

Does this mod make me sprint automatically without pressing anything?

No, it doesn't force sprinting. It only preserves your Toggle Sprint and Toggle Sneak states so they don't reset when you die and respawn.

Why does my sprint keep turning off every time I respawn?

That's the vanilla behavior introduced when the toggle-reset feature was removed. This mod restores the old behavior so your toggle states survive respawning.

Do I need to press the sprint key again after dying?

With the mod installed, no. If Toggle Sprint was active before you died, it stays active after you respawn without any extra input.

Does it also keep toggle sneak (shift) on after respawn?

Yes. The mod preserves both Toggle Sprint and Toggle Sneak, so if you had sneak toggled on before dying, it remains toggled on afterward.

How can I tell if the mod is actually working?

Toggle sprint on, die, and respawn. If you're still sprinting without pressing the key again, the mod is working; if you have to re-toggle, it isn't.

Is this mod client-side or does the server need it too?

It's a client-side mod. You can use it on any server, and other players and the server don't need it installed.
