How to Keep Toggle Sprint Enabled After You Die and Respawn
Why your sprint keeps turning off
In vanilla Minecraft, the toggle sprint state is stored per-life. When you die and respawn, the game clears the toggle so you start each new life walking. This mod restores the older behavior where your toggle preference carries over. If you have the mod installed but sprint still resets, the cause is almost always that the toggle was never actually on when you died.
Steps to make it stick
1. Enter a world and press your sprint key (default is Left Ctrl) once to turn toggle sprint on. You should see the sprint indicator stay active without holding the key.
2. Confirm it is toggled, not held. If you are physically holding the key down, the game treats it as a held sprint and there is nothing to preserve across respawn.
3. Die or use a command to kill yourself, then respawn.
4. Check your sprint state immediately after respawn. With the mod working, you should still be in toggle sprint mode.
5. If it did not persist, check your controls menu and make sure the sprint key is bound to the toggle action and not conflicting with another bind.
If it still resets
Make sure you are not switching worlds or reloading the game between death and respawn, since a full reload can reset client-side toggle state regardless of the mod. Test in a single world with a single death first before assuming the mod is broken.
