How to Keep Toggle Sneak (Shift) Active After Respawning

The mod handles toggle shift the same way it handles toggle sprint. If you play with toggle sneak enabled so you do not have to hold Shift, that state was also being wiped on respawn in the affected version. This guide walks through verifying and using it.

Steps

1. Open Options, then Controls, and confirm toggle sneak is enabled in your accessibility or controls settings. Some setups expose this as a separate toggle rather than a keybind.

2. In game, press your sneak key once to activate toggle sneak. Your character should stay crouched with the key released.

3. Verify the crouch is a toggle and not a hold. Release the key fully and walk around; if you stand up, you were holding it.

4. Die and respawn.

5. Check whether you are still crouched. With the mod, the toggle should survive the respawn.

Common confusion

Players often think the mod failed when they respawn standing because they were never in toggle mode to begin with. Toggle sneak and toggle sprint are independent, so enabling one does not enable the other. Turn on each one you want preserved and test them separately with a single death each time so you can tell which one is behaving.
