Ore drop behavior

When you mine an ore block with Auto Smelt Mod active, the raw ore variant is never dropped. Instead, you receive the smelted ingot directly. This means:

• No raw ore accumulates in your inventory
• You can't sell or trade raw ore (since you never obtain it)
• Storage is simplified—only ingots are produced

Experience points

The mod's handling of experience depends on your specific version and configuration:

• Some versions grant you the smelting experience when you mine the ore, simulating the furnace step
• Other versions may only grant mining experience
• Check your mod's settings to see if experience rewards can be adjusted

Compatibility notes

If you're using mods that specifically require raw ore (for crafting recipes or other mechanics), Auto Smelt Mod will bypass those requirements since raw ore is never created. You may need to adjust recipes or disable auto-smelting for those specific ores in the configuration file.

This is especially important when combining Auto Smelt with other mods that add custom ore processing chains.
