Properly Till Farmland for Crop Growth

Understand Double-Tilling

This mod requires farmland to be tilled twice before crops will grow. This is the key balance mechanic—it prevents farming from becoming completely passive.

Till Your Blocks

1. Select a hoe from your inventory

2. Right-click on a dirt block once—it becomes tilled farmland

3. Right-click the same block again—it's now double-tilled and ready for crops

Plant Your Seeds

Once a block is double-tilled, place seeds (wheat, carrots, potatoes, or beetroot) on it. The crop will begin its growth cycle.

Let Animals Help

When animals roam over your fields, they'll automatically replant crops that have been harvested. However, you still need to double-till any new blocks you add to your farm.

Efficiency Tip

Prepare large sections of farmland in advance by double-tilling multiple blocks at once. This gives your animals plenty of space to work and replant, maximizing your farm's productivity.
