Adjust Shadow Quality and Performance
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu by pressing the designated key (usually accessed through your mod menu or shader settings panel). Look for shadow-related sliders and toggles.
Fine-Tune Shadow Rendering
Locate the shadow distance and shadow resolution options. Increasing shadow distance makes shadows visible further from your character, while shadow resolution controls how sharp and detailed shadows appear. Higher values look better but demand more GPU power.
If you experience frame rate drops, reduce shadow distance first—this has the biggest performance impact. Then lower shadow resolution if needed.
Balance Quality and FPS
Start with medium settings and test your frame rate in different environments: bright daylight, dense forests, and caves. Adjust incrementally rather than making large changes at once.
If you're using a lower-end GPU, disable shadow filtering or use lower resolution. The mod will still deliver its fantasy aesthetic without the performance cost. You can always increase settings later as your hardware allows.
Save Your Preferences
Once you find settings that feel smooth, the mod typically saves your configuration automatically. Test your chosen settings across multiple play sessions to ensure consistency.
