Understand Ore Glow Mechanics

Aurelia makes ores emit a soft glow in low-light conditions. This glow intensifies in complete darkness, helping you spot valuable resources without torches. The effect works on all ore types and is always active.

Optimize Your Viewing Angle

Ore glow is most visible when you're looking directly at ore blocks or from a slight angle. Avoid looking at ores from behind or at extreme angles, as the glow may be less apparent.

Reduce Competing Light Sources

If you're using many torches or lanterns, their brightness can wash out the subtle ore glow. Try mining in near-total darkness or temporarily removing nearby light sources to see the glow more clearly.

Adjust Global Illumination Settings

In shader options, increase the global illumination or ambient light slider slightly. This brightens dark areas overall and makes ore glow more prominent without requiring additional torches.

Verify Shader is Active

Confirm Aurelia is loaded by checking the pause menu—it should display the shader name. If ore glow seems absent, reload the shader or verify it's properly installed.
