Customize Biome Lighting and Fog Colors

Open Biome-Specific Settings

Access the shader menu and look for Biome Colors, Fog Settings, or Atmosphere options. Aurelia applies different lighting profiles to each biome automatically.

Adjust Fog Density by Biome

Some biomes have thicker fog than others. If a biome feels too hazy, find its fog density slider and reduce it. Increase fog in biomes where you want more atmosphere, like swamps or jungles.

Modify Light Tinting

Each biome can have its lighting tinted toward specific colors. Warm biomes like deserts may lean golden; cool biomes like taigas lean blue. Adjust these sliders to shift the overall color tone without affecting block colors too drastically.

Test Changes Across Locations

Travel to different biomes and observe how your adjustments look. Lighting changes dramatically between sunrise, noon, sunset, and night—test all times to ensure your settings feel right.

Balance Aesthetics and Visibility

Avoid making fog so thick that visibility suffers, or lighting so dim that caves become unplayable. Aim for a balance that looks cinematic while keeping gameplay functional.
